Add on Psychotherapy Code

To get the add on code of 99803 you must go into the Psychotherapy code and you then would be taken to a screen to document verbal content. 

Then they would see this screen and could select options. 

Then the next area would be the therapy interventions. The Psychotherapy Code would depend on the following time spent chosen:

1. 16 to 37 minutes = 90832
   
2. 38 to 52 minutes = 90834
   
3. 53 plus minutes = 90837
   

OR

The only other option is they would have to manually go in and add that code on the second line of the service code area. 

Either way they would be aware that the code was added because it requires additional steps out-side of the EM code. It also clearly displays in the service code area.
