Alternate Facility NPI
If you need to submit a different facility NPI on your claims based on the payer, there is a new field in Settings + Directories to add an Alternate Facility NPI. This will affect lines 32a and 33a on the printed CMS 1500 form as well as loop 2010AA (and 2310C if "Always Send Service Facility Loop" Payer ANSI Option is enabled) in the ANSI 837 file.
As a Group Administrator, you can add the alternate facility NPI under the Sites/Letterheads tab and activate for the insurance payer under Insur Payers tab.
1. From the Chart Face, click the Settings button.
2. From Settings & Directories:
- Click the Group Level Settings & Directories tab.
- Click the Sites/Letterheads tab (this should be default.
- Choose the site that you want to modify.
- Click the Edit button.
3. Type in the Alternate NPI for Facility in the field. Click the 
button.
4. Next,
- Go to the Insur Payers tab.
- Choose the insurance payer.
- Click the 'Use Alternate Facility NPI on Claims.'
When you click the 'Use Alternate Facility NPI on Claims' field, you will need to choose primary or secondary insurance.
5. Click the 
button.
6. Click the 
button to return to the Chart Room.
