This knowledge base article covers how to assign providers to a patient's chart and assign the provider's roles. This is an example:
1. Go to the Chart Face and then Demographics (or create a new patient if needed).
New Patient with no assigned providers. I have created this new patient and will assign four clinicians to her.
2. Go to the bottom to assign providers by first selecting a clinician or multiple clinicians. In this example, I am going to assign multiple clinicians by clicking the button. If I wanted to add one-by-one, I could click the
button.
3. This window will populate. I can narrow the list by filters or type a name in the yellow bar to find a specific clinician.
I chose four clinicians. They are indicated as chosen by the blue bar across the row. I click the button when finished.
4. The assigned clinicians now show above the Assign Provider(s) button. Please note, until I press the button, the clinicians ARE NOT assigned. I click the
button.
After I click the Assign Provider(s) button the list of names go to the left. I can assign as many providers as I want. This patient is marked Ana Castillo, MD as her principal provider, but her principal provider is actually Juan Taborda. So I click the by Juan Taborda's name and the Principal provider is changed.
5. I assign roles by clicking in the field "Role" and assigning by the menu. Assign roles to each of your clinicians/providers.
6. Once done, click Save and go to Chart Face (if new patient) or click Continue if an established patient.
