In the June 2020 release, we introduced a new group rule, "Require TP Before Note Creation". When enabled, a clinical user (whose discipline is not Office or Administrator) will be prevented from creating a new progress note until a Treatment Plan exists for the patient. The group rule applies to the following note types:

Couples/Family Therapy

Case/Social Worker

Dietician

If a clinician attempts to create a new progress note before a Treatment Plan has been completed, they will receive an error alert with the following message: There is no Treatment Plan for this patient. You are required to add a Treatment Plan before creating your note.
Once a Treatment Plan is created for the patient, the error alert will no longer prompt the clinician.
