This knowledge base article demonstrates the workflow for creating a Clinical Summary, as a way of generating patient documentation while using less paper.
Example scenario: Our testing group has seen this patient since 2024.The group has created notes for this patient. The patient came in requesting that he gets her medical records for her primary doctor. To print all of these notes would require a lot of paper, but there is an easier way.
1. You can create a new progress note or enter one already created by clicking the button on the Chart Face.
2. On the Finished Note window, click the button.
3. Fill out the top fields to indicate what you want to show on the clinical summary.
4. Go to each tab and add data as needed. You can type into the yellow fields if you want to add text. In the PN Interval History tab you will be able to include the full text of any note by selecting the note(s) and clicking the button.
5. Once you have all the data selected, click the button.
6. Once compiled, the clinical summary will have all the pertinent data you selected. This summary will make viewing the patient's report easier/faster for her primary doctor and less pages for your office to print.
