Save PDF to Local Hard Drive

To save a copy of an ICANotes document to your local device, follow these steps:

 

Login to the ICANotes Upload Site using your regular ICANotes username and password.

 

 

Saving PDF on the Upload Site

 

Search for the patient whose document you want to save locally, then click to select their name in the search results below.

 

  

 

In the middle column, select the category of the document you're looking for by clicking to expand it, then scroll through the list to find the document for saving.

 

 

 

Hit the download icon to view the document in your web browser.

 

 

 

A set of icons should appear. In some browsers, the Save icon will be on the top left, while in others it may be located on the top right. Simply click the Save icon to save a copy of the document to your computer.

 

 

 

 

Notes, evaluations, clinical summaries, treatment plans, assessments, and other documents compiled in ICANotes are automatically sent to the Upload Site in PDF form, with the exception of documents older than five years. Documents older than five years can be found on the Backup Site, accessed in the same way as the regular uploads site.

Saving PDF in ICANotes

 

1.  In the Chart Face, find the progress note, evaluation, assessment, treatment plan or clinical summary that you wish to save as PDF and click 'Compiled Note'. 

 

 

Alternatively, you can go to the  tab of the Chart Face, click  and print from there.

  

 

2.  On the Compiled/Finished Note screen, click the 'Print' button.

 

 

 

3. In the print prompt, make sure "Universal Printer " is selected from the Name drop-down and click 'OK' .  

 

 

 

 

4.  That will push the print job to your web browser. If you use Google Chrome, select "Save as PDF" as the Destination and click 'Save' at the bottom . If you use a different web browser, such as Firefox or Safari, select the appropriate "Save as PDF" option as well. 

 

 

 

5.  Select where you want the file to save on your computer, name the file , and click 'Save'.
