Warning: Select a more specific diagnosis code

When a note has an encounter date on or after 10/1/2016 and any of the diagnoses no longer point to a valid ICD-10 code, there will be red text before the code saying "Warning: Select a more specific diagnosis code". The note cannot be compiled until a more specific code is selected.

If you have this warning in the diagnosis field, you will receive an error trying to compile a note.

1.  When this warning/error is encountered, click the  button by Diagnosis.

2.  Find a valid diagnosis code that is more specific by clicking in the dropdown menus.

3.  Find the obsolete diagnosis code (F42 in this example) on the list and click the  to delete the obsolete code.

4.  Click the  button to close the diagnosis window.

5.  The Diagnosis field is now ready and the note can be compiled.
